Graduation Teddy Bear

The signs of those who have left are still there,
The signs that belonged to the people I care,
They are all written there
In a black-tipped marker,
The names are all written,
By the people that wear
The same blue uniform,
They’re all on this bear.

It sits on my bed,
Staring at me,
The names are all clear,
The phone numbers dear,
The writing all neat,
The messages sweet,
I have no other treasure as valuable as this,
Worth more than a kiss,
Worth more than money,
Worth more than a seer,
This bear right here
Is a treasure to me.
