Granny's Necklace

I watched it every day
Every time I see her it is there.
It was as gold as the sun
As colourful as a rainbow
As important to me as to her.
Different and divine,
Old as the sky.
She showed me the importance.
I understand now
So it can live on with me
As does she.
Forever the heart will
Be in a draw
'til it will see
me again, it will stay
As important as a flower
Old and wise.
