I am ever changing shape – captured in a single moment
I am a maze of points and peaks
I can be a snow draped mountain or a still frozen sea
I was worn down and built up by the prison that withheld me
I can be a dull but mesmerising sight to see
I could have been the sharpest point atop a spiralling turquoise tower
I could have been shaped and encrusted within a gold and silver house
I could have been lost to the raging sea or to the slowly rising molten lava
I was taken from my prison and let into a world of sight and wonder – and now I wait 'til I fade and crumble back into the cracks of the earth.
