Great Oak Tree

Oh great oak tree,
My inner flower withers with worry,
Memories that brew in my mind - like a storm of emotions,
Oh great ancestor tree,
I'm always running from something,
I pass through the green gateway to my safe haven.
The trees - as tall as time,
The pond - crystal clear - only to hear my story, my life and emotions
Water holds memory - I tell it my secrets inside
Water is like a diary with endless pages
Nature’s melody plays in my heart - like a mother’s lullaby
You have taught me, Oh beautiful oak tree
To not wait for the storm to pass but to dance in the rain
That nature has lived since the beginning of time - I listen to its story
How the sun and moon work side by side - giving us day and night
And that seeds fall from the trees, only to blossom by the summer
Tell me, Oh wise oak tree
As your branches and roots extend across the earth and shelter me,
Is it painful to watch people disregard nature to never know the meaning of life?
Oh great oak tree
