Griffin's Poem

Glistening across from the Lake is all that I see
As they all stare back at me
Tall and green I stand there waiting,
As I get to watch my taking.
Dark silhouettes form around my trunk,
I hear a razor as I lose my first chunk,
Just like my friends my life is at a close,
Thinking to the very first day I rose.
I begin to fall in sadness,
This world has truly fallen into madness,
Deforestation is bad,
And it makes me very sad.
