Hidden Gem

At dusk we wandered down to the coast

Unaware of the beauty we were yet to encounter.

Spindly grass waltzed in the breeze

As we drew closer to paradise.

The crystalline ocean greeted us like a breath of fresh air

Our hearts filled with wonder.

Sublime stones towered above us

Meandering through the maze, speechless.

Water trickled through the rock pool

Flowing into the Atlantic abyss

The endless void of the unknown

Is there any place of such splendour?

Climbing the angelic cliff face

On top of the world.

As the sun fell in the sky

We were engulfed in the magic.

Together in our hidden gem

Our secret.

Nothing could tear us from this place

Nun's Cove, forever in our hearts.
