Hieroglyphic Slab

A stone slab,
Carved by the king’s scribe,
With handmade pictures,
And ground pigments for colour.
Paintbrushes made by reed,
To spread these colours,
Time and care was taken,
To make these pictures.
The Old Kingdom,
Were the first to invent,
A way to pass information,
To hide the secrets,
Of the mighty lords.
They ordered the slaves,
To build massive 3D towers,
From the mud they found in the ground,
Today they are ancient,
And still a mystery.
