Hope

The sound of calming waves crashing on the beach,
Hearing the wind sway the trees makes me feel at home,
But seeing it destroyed breaks my heart,
Like a bomb dropped on the ones you love,
Sorrow and tears,
More and more news about our endangered animal and destroyed ecosystems,
I can’t bear it,
Trying to imagine a world where this was all just a bad dream,
But I have hope,
And hope is what I'm going to use to do my part
