How many times

Have you said you were doing the right thing?

Watching documentaries,

Reading nature books

And submitting poem entries

But have you done anything?

You’ve done nothing

And meanwhile, you’re hearing the words:

Threatened, endangered, extinct

Over and over again

But you’ve just been waiting for someone else to fix this mess

What you don’t understand
