I Blame You, Mankind

Should nature leave our midst,

I should have mankind to blame.

Because it is not the children who protest

That put forests ablaze.

Should the last elephant drop dead,

I shall blame you mankind,

For I am not the one

Who shot it in the head.

When animal skin becomes so rare, 

I blame you mankind,

Because it was not the activists

Who skinned them to their last hair.

I am not to blame, for the last of our flora and fauna. 

Because I was the only one who yelled for the latter.
