I Want To Wake Up To

I want to wake up to clean and clear, cerulean skies.
However, there is continuous billowing of suffocating smoke blanketing our skies.
I want to gleefully and carelessly swim in the sparkling azure oceans.
However, there is a devastating pernicious pollution in the vast, endless oceans
I want to diligently go bush walking in the luscious, green, verdant jungles.
But there’s been plethoras of wildfires, the once flourishing forest now hasn’t animals.
I don’t want to wake up to no fresh, brilliant berries and extinct trees.
Instead I want to wake up to millions of spectacular aromas and lavish berries.
I want to wake up to thousands of iridescent corals in the crystalline oceans.
However, coral bleaching is occurring and some coral are alabaster white.
I don’t want to wake up to a dreadful, ferocious flood that will destroy humble houses.
However, La Niña has destroyed our natural climate.
I want to wake up to colossal amounts of scrumptious food supplies to devour.
However, there was a disastrous drought so ships couldn’t load supplies to shops.
I want to wake up to plenty of ‘Pennanta Baylisiaa ‘ soaring from the soil into the skies.
However, they are the most endangered tree in the world, so I won’t see them often.
I want to go swimming in the glistening oceans and see the Yanatze Softshell Turtles.
Instead, there are only three left as they are critically endangered so I have no hope.
I want to deeply inhale fresh oxygen when I go strolling in the vibrant forest.
Remember, care for our planet or the whole world will change.
