Ice-spiration

We created a winter wonderland in order to inspire some poetry. We talked about sounds, tactile experiences, and emotions that may be experienced if this igloo was real. It led to free-play and conversation about people who may live in/see igloos in real-life. Students in grades 3-6 submitted poems centred around figurative language and emotive writing.
