If I Could Be a Tree

If I could be a tree I would be a swamp gum

I would be able to see all around for I would be the tallest

People would look up at me and respect me

If I could be a tree I would be a pine tree

I would be so perfect and symmetrical

People would climb in me and play at my feet

If I could be a tree I would be an apple tree

I would have birds chirping in my branches and eating my fruits

People would come from all around to pick my fruits and play

If I could be a tree I would be a silver birch tree

I would stand there tall shining in the moonlight

People would walk past and stare at my beautiful painted bark
