It was hell

It was cold and dark.
It was unwelcoming and compassionless.
I closed my eyes.
I shut down my body.
It was something of a dystopia.
It was hell.
And then a glimpse of hope rose into the darkness.
Colour, flooding around me, penetrating me.
Green. Burgeoning. Ubiquitously.
It was exhilarating.
It was a moment of complete content.
And then it happened.
That wave of hatred came.
And those pulchritudinous colours were gone.
The green was gone.
The pink, that soft, pink. Gone.
And suddenly I could not be sanguine anymore.
It was deafening.
And then that emotionless sea of hatred came.
And with it came death.
And those colours were dead.
Just as water brings life.
Hatred kills it.
And that feeling returns.
It was hell.
