The world is sick; poisoned. Who is to blame?
The earth is on fire; arson. Who is the culprit?
They say, ‘It’s not the end of the world’
And so the world keeps turning.
Corals fade to white, oceans to black, green morphs into grey.
The sea swells and ice melts and the air is thick with toxins.
He says, ‘It’s not the end of the world’
The world keeps turning.
Who took away all the trees?
Our brick houses replace the homes of the wild.
She says, ‘It’s not the end of the world’
And the world keeps turning.
Fire and rain and droughts and storms.
I'm burning, I'm drowning, I'm being swept away. Where do we go?
It’s too late.
It’s the end of the world.
The world
no longer
turns.
