Keeper of youth’s treasures,
Illiterate in outgrowing yet I am outgrown.
Sink your teeth into the alloy.
Spices seduce.
Swallow the heat as
Metal trounces the blaze.
Diamonds I devour as gold is gulped.
I yearn to drown your pearls
In my sea of chains.
Mull with me and transport to yesteryears.
Mull with me and trod with copper tusks.
I AM the glass sphere of the past.
Entrusted with jewels laden with memories.
Entrust me to wee soul.
No more bulk than a goblet though
Ample with past breaths.
I become stainless, awaiting my feed.
The feed to last me another soul.
The feed of which I will again be stripped,
When thee is born.
