My breath held,
Then suddenly my heart hammering,
Through a wave of wonders I dive.

Now howling like the wind,
My heart clutched by my hand,
Tears roll down my sorrowful face,
And I find myself in a raging storm of sadness.

My heart does a nervous flip,
As I move on,
Frightened as a stray puppy in the dead of night,
I anxiously bite my fingernails through the threatening silence.

And in my head I see the pictures,
I feel the triumph, the remorse, the sadness,
Sometimes I cower, sometimes I stand up straight,
Sometimes in my head I shout, ‘Go, go, go!’
On a journey I have been taken,
By just some simple books.
I turn the pages with greed,
Entering the wondrous world of Harry Potter.
