Kangaroo Poem

Bouncing like a ball, it swiftly jumps
As it soars through the air, with huge skips
It’s a piece of elastic that bounces, skips and hops
It’s constantly on the move, but when will it stop?

It’s as brown as a cardboard box,
One of its predators is a fox
Its hearing is incredibly strong
And its tail is exceedingly long

But in its snug, little pouch
Is a small joey, all snug and warm
The tiny being never screeches ouch
It’s safe and protected from any harm

Kangaroos are phenomenal creatures
And definitely have lots of different features
Living all the way down to Tasmania
Kangaroos are the animal heart of Australia!
