King Fire

Fire, a devastating thing, ruining lives crushing dreams,
Killing, burning, it's fire’s little scheme.
But all these years the Aboriginals have said,
There is some good in this ravishing red.
Right deep down under the flames, fire can help if it is tamed.
Grass burning all around; crackle, crackle, a back-burning sound.
As time goes by, the majestic flames die,
Leaving all that’s left to grow again.
Years and years and years of Earth's green children now have ears.
Regeneration, a beautiful wonder,
A natural beauty from down under.
A footstep, a crunch, fresh soil beneath,
Fire is our saviour, fire is king.
