Koala

Fuzzy and adorable,
Grey soft fur,
Rough pads,
Bright beady eyes,
Long claws dig and drag,
Soft white fur,
Like a collar around its neck.
Hiding in trees,
Dry and wet woodlands,
Eucalyptus branches,
They live alone,
Solitary and silent.
Leaves are fluttering loose,
As the trunks fall down,
The trees no longer tall,
Turned into stumps.
No more food or shelter,
For them to survive,
No longer safe.
