Your grave has been dug and glory only recalled in story,

Flee now to live in dying memory.

Pass now mother with our sorrow approaching,

Your forgiveness we beg, for we tortured you blindly.

Your grave is dishevelled from footprints hastening away,

As we left you sequestered on the homeland you cherished.

Depart now to the expanse of your siblings,

And watch over your deserted planet in grief.

Your blind children killed for eyes they never found,

They burnt your homes to build unfamiliar caves.

Forgive them for they never knew,

The contentment of your arms.

We will mourn with you as we amble along your once beautiful land,

But many of us will die from regret.

We know you will not sleep in peace,

But we beg you to let your wounds heal,

For we cannot bear to see the agony soak your body.

We cannot bear to witness what we have done.
