Fire spreads through the river of blood,

Ice freezes my heart.

It burns, it floods

It bursts through my parts

A hot liquid that jars.

It heats my skin but I still feel afar

Have I been hit by a car?

The ice begins to melt,

My heart begins to warm.

Hope has begun to dwell

In a small place in a winter storm.

It lives there like I live in this dorm,

This new hope is not the norm,

It is powerful, subdues my fire,

My friend, he's not a liar.
