Little Stars
By Emily L
Stars scattered across your skin
Like constellations drawn on your face
Almost as if you could join them together
Numbered 1, 2, 3 connect the dots
Marks speckled across your skin
Like a galaxy painted on your face
A whole separate universe in your eyes
A crescent moon that is your smile
As if the gods had handcrafted your face
Trapping thousands of suns under your skin
The bridge of your nose kissed by the sun
Your complexion golden like the glow of dawn
Imperfections stain your skin
However beauty is never perfect
A tale written in your face
A story of summers and days in the sun
The sun blushes across your cheeks
The night trapped in your tears and eyelashes
Star-like freckles dot your skin
Your beauty forever unwavering to him
