My bright petals whisper

Around me lotuses bloom

And how amazing I look

Beneath the luminous moon.

The sparkling water tells me stories

The leaves share secrets

The trees comfort me to sleep

As I lay back

On my lotus stem.

Oh, how people wish on me

Like a shooting star

And as my lotus petals wither

I look out from afar.

I often wonder

What’s beyond these waters?

The pitter-patter of rain,

The morning dew sings me songs,

A gentle breeze tickles me

As I lay back

On my lotus stem.
