Magic Forest

The forest is full of wise old trees
Always carefully watching me
Their wisdom always guards us
Their strong bark charred ‘cause of us
Beautiful singing birds dance through the forest
Their voices always feel the warmest
Aromas of ginger beers and minty leaves
Smell so natural, so unique to me
Butterflies and bees, so beautiful
Their beauty is unusual
The fireflies majestically
Illuminate the forest
Technically
They’re like the lights of the bush
The kookaburras all laughing in unison
The chemistry, the mutualism
Our ecosystem works together
Like butter and bread, they’re always better
