Mask

Bright colours invade dull space.
Yellow man stands solo,
peacefully dissolving.
Shadows watch, coral crawls over stony face.

Mouldy statues, frozen in time.
Sunken treasures waiting to be found,
trapped by surging waves.
Decaying, forgotten in the ocean’s depths.

Horrid sights, left to right,
Seeming dangerous; inert.
Scary creatures roam about,
abandoned in the deep, dark blue.

Drifting throughout-an eerie presence,
ancient souls trying to escape.
Innocent bodies lead astray,
bound to be lost forever.

Human features protrude,
masks are worn with serious looks,
mystery and fear lies beyond.
Different, bizarre yet strangely human.
