When Māui’s fish hook dived into the sea
Tricking his brothers and family
He brought out what would be
The Islands of Polynesia
Now along the ocean floor
Māui’s fish hook lies no more
In replacement is something his brothers wouldn’t adore
But the sinking islands of the Pacifika
In the next few months, it will all be gone
But just remember what his fishhook had undergone
All the families that have withdrawn
