Two years after it all happened,
I can still feel the adrenaline rushing through my soul.
As I trace over the delicate engravings,
The glossy surface reflects the morning sunshine.
My medal marks a journey,
A journey of commitment,
Training,
Hard work,
but above all persistence.
We all have a goal,
and for a year and a half,
I strived to achieved my own goal,
To win this medallion.
Diving into the water that day,
B-boom, b-boom, my heart was pounding,
My hands were shaking,
My head was spinning, and I was really nervous.
My medallion is a story,
many memories swim under it's cold surface,
Waiting to be discovered by people like you.
