Mirror

Mirror, mirror
When my eyes deceive,
My dreams start to make me believe
But how can I see what’s on the outside
When the inside is always sacrificed?
How did I get through those rough times?
When all I had was fear in my eyes?
Every correction & every perfection
Were rolled up into one reflection
Mirror, mirror
Can’t you see?
What you show is ruining me
A note from the author: Mirrors are part of everyday life, but who could know one tiny reflection had such a bad impact? Mirrors in my house are important objects because they will soon help us see who we truly are, & then we won’t rely on them anymore to show us our beauty. Our inner beauty.
