The moon replaces the sun

The sky darkens

Stars in the celestial night

Diamonds encrusted

On a velvet black blanket

Constellations form

The moon hangs in the cosmic abyss

Like a delicate plate

She shines a silver glow

Onto the sea

The waves ebb and flow

Casting her reflection

Shimmering moonglade

Glimmers and glistens

Her glint of light

Faintly illuminates the waves

In darkness

There is still beauty

Until the stars fade

She will always be watching
