Mountain Pygmy Possum

Those cute little eyes that shine in the dark sky,

If we do not take care of you, we may have to say bye bye.

With your tiny size and fluffy grey fur,

Having your numbers in abundance is what we would all prefer.  

Pygmy possums are in danger of dying out,

Us wrecking their habitat will not help.

We, humans, should be controlling the damage that we do, 

because our pygmy possums don't know what to do.

The pygmy possum is an important pollinator and performs an important role in nature

But their critically endangered status means they might not survive much further into the future. 

But one thing we all know is, that we can all help them survive, 

In one way or another let’s help so we can keep this species alive.

These cute little pygmy possums need a safe home and habitat,

If we keep ripping them down, we may never see these loving animals ever again.
