Icy peaks upon mountain tops,
Covered with a smattering of snow.
Snow sliding down, a white tsunami.

As the days go on, the mountain stays,
A titan on the ever-changing earth.
Trees spring into life, a dot on the planet.

The mountain that stays,
The trees that grow, only a speck,
Like fruit that grows, falls and withers.

The earth spins, forever changing,
The mountain stains alone, desolate and forgotten,
No town stands near as the mountain stays.

Time goes on, the world changes,
The years pass, the tide comes in and out,
The water rises, engulfing the mountain tops.
