While the leaves brushed the gentle grass,

The old poison dart frog sat next to a helmet of brass

As the old frog spoke,

No one was listening

So he gave up thinking

Every animal in the forest hated him

He hurled his way back to the stump, where he sat in silence

He sat upright and watched tigers snarl and snap with violence

The old poison dart frog knew he had to help instead of watching the panda cubs yelp

So he leapt as fast as his old legs could go and nipped the tigers

Which taught him he was the face of the show

The sun glistened while all the animals gathered around the helmet of brass

The old poison dart frog told the animals about his epic battle and for the first time

Everyone listened and laughed
