My Asylum

Once a refuge and now isolated
Once an upbeat place and now depressed
My life taken away
And a broken heart made
Born into the world with a duty to protect
Intriguing beans to soon become friends
A relationship to sprout then blossom
A place that filled my boys heart with joy
That wrapped around him like cotton wool
A hide away in plain sight
Handcrafted, with heart and soul
Bonded by heart tale
The beans grew up
Oblivious to conspiring fate
Abandoned, thrown away
Memories begin to fade
Rage and frustration
Blur my mind
The boy I once made happy
Now stands alone
The fire in his adventurous and courageous heart
Now lay dormant
Off in the abyss
The boy stood
Waiting, watching
For his friend to return
