My Backyard

Roaming around as a dinosaur,
And a tiger catching its prey,
Spending a night ashore,
Oh what a beautiful day,
But now as Mary Poppins,
And Cinderella too,
A farmer picking dog droppings,
Oh what more can she do,
Those old days, that were so much fun,
Full of laughing, running, jumping,
All under the sun,
Until that day came hunting,
School had begun,
Less and less time was spent in that backyard,
Till the girl, that was everything in one,
Now turned upside down trudged back from the school yard,
She spends her days now,
Not doing the same things she used to do,
But gazing at the clouds in happiness somehow,
It will never be the same, but now she is all new.
