my basketball

My basketball is my best friend I got it when I was 10. It's been with me through when I win or lose and is damaged quite a bit. I clean it every Monday and Friday, Wednesday if I have time or just funny TV while in my closet it lays near my shoe.
When I'm mad or sad I just go take some shots if I get them all in I start to grin and rub little old chin then I try to think of words that rhyme until I get really tired but then I take just one more shot and try to get my score just a bit hire.
I run my fingers through the lines in hope of some good luck if you were lose my ball I’d hit you with my bat or maybe I might punch you hard until I'm satisfied I don’t know how long that might take but I won’t take any breaks.
Sorry if that sounded like a threat I’ll try to keep my cool even though it might look like I'm a fool if you see me failing shots then I might be sad or mad but don’t you dare approach.
If you try to cheer me up I’ll just say thank you dude I wasn't trying to be rude, I haven’t eaten food.
My explanation
I picked this item cause really special to me. My grandpa gave it to me before he died it was his when he was a child it’s not my best basketball but it is my favourite my granddad taught me a lot about our favourite sport. If I could show future generations the wonders of basketball I think would have done my grandpa proud. This is just a classic poem I was going to make it rhyme but I found that a bit difficult and if I did my poem would some lies in it I started liking poetry 2 years ago when my mum first introduced me to it.This poem means a lot to me because it’s one of the best I have written without help from anyone. I believe poetry is a way of expressing someone’s individuality and personality poetry has a big effect on modern day life.
