My Bear

The big, brown bear
sits on a bed like
a strong, fearless god.
Its eyes are as black as the midnight sky.
Around its neck is a ginormous snake
tied into a bow
to keep it in place.
His paws are choc-chip cookies.
When it sits it is as quiet as a snake about to strike.
When it comes out to play
it is as noisy as an elephant
My bear is as light as
a brown cardboard box.
My grandma gave it to my cousin.
Then my cousin gave it to me.
The gigantic bear now sits on my bed.
