As I travel through my vast home

The air I breathe no longer tastes like salt

It filters through my body, burning my lungs

I dive deeper to find my pod

I find myself alone

Where have they gone?

I can no longer travel as far through my home

It's become smaller and smaller

I can’t find my pod

Why is my home shrinking?

Where is my family?

Why can’t I breathe?

My eyes open for another day,

The water no longer ripples along my body

It feels sticky and thick

Why can’t I see my home?
