My Cat

My cat is a panther.
Each strand of her raven-black fur glistens with a glossy, satin shine.
Her eyes glow with a frightening emerald green.
Her claws, razor sharp, like teeth from a shark’s jaw.
Her shadow-like appearance keeps her completely unseen at night.
Veiled underneath the obscurity of the night sky she stalks her prey.
But behind the savage appearance is an affectionate friend.
