My Dog

She barks at the fence
Intruders beware!
As fuzzy as fairyfloss
She sleeps soundly on my bed.

Black and white in the night
Playfully, she loves me so
Remembers me when I go away
Welcome's me when I'm home.

Five years old
Her name is Possum
She cooks with me
By my side.

Fast as a horse
She wakes me in the morning
Waits for a treat

She swims with me
I wonder if she gets jealous
We lost her once,
But she was found
Blessed with love
