My First Goal

The whistle blows,
pushing the comet onto the field,
dodging the space debris,
then comes a planet
growing bigger and bigger.

A comet approaches,
the Earth staring back up,
the comet explodes in the back of the net,
GOAL!

The starry universe of heads
sparkling, cheering and shimmering
behind the stands
my first goal
like Earth’s first collision.

The Earth running and spinning
Knowing that’s only the beginning
Of a more powerful meteor.
