A long, thick tree trunk sprouting to reach the sky.

A splendid dark brown trunk, matching the night sky,

Long branches in front of me, trying to give me a warm hug.

The seasons change blossoms appear, a perfect pink,

Reminding me of spectacular Christmas lights flashing.

Summertime now, full of juicy peaches.

Heavy branches bowing to the ground.

Birds squabbling, stealing our peaches.

Thinking they are theirs, taking what they want.

There is no replacement for my peach tree.

The birds and I agree to share it,

when summertime comes again.
