My grey blanket

It wraps me up in a warm embrace
It hides me when I need to hide
protecting me from troubles I’ll have to face
like a veil covering the face of a bride
like soft clouds it accentuates comfort
It envelopes me in grey
as it shelters me during May
I could be wrapped in it all day
my helper in finding the perfect position on the couch
covering the way I always slouch
once I’m snug, I won’t be getting up
I’m not lazy, I’m just a realist, I can barely do a push up
It catches my tears when I watch a heart get broken
It constricts my stomach from bursting of laughter
It covers my eyes from the endless jump scares
It’s my blanket
