My Guinea Pig

My guinea pig is so scrumptious
But since this is my treasure
I cannot eat it. She is too precious!
Her name is Cookie.
She is chocolate brown
And I think that’s why
She is so pretty.
I love to give her
Everything she likes:
Dandelions, carrots, cucumbers.
When she is afraid
She looks for somewhere to hide.
For example, inside my pocket
Or running into her shed.
As she is my treasure
My love for her is even stronger
Than something we cannot measure.
