My Guitar

My Guitar is very important to me
Made from the wood of a tree
Can play any song
No matter how long.

Can calm even the most rage filled mind-
Could be yours or maybe mine.
Easy pick up and play,
But soothes the soul in every way.

Bought from a very small store.
Yet so important to my life
If I lost it
I would have nothing.

The night I got my guitar I will never forget,
It was the best day of my life.
I can play it well,
But I still have much to learn.

I can play any songs from anywhere
Near or far.
They say the guitar is the most personal instrument
That I never used to believe.

But now I see
Because that saying is true for me.
