My Inside Flame

My day always begins the same
They give me a hug and it starts that inside flame
That flame burns thinking of them
It turns to smoke missing my morning mayhem
The flying around like leaves dancing in a storm
My day always ends the same
They give me warm love like an open fire
Their love is what I most desire
The meals they cook, teaching me to read a book
My world is right where I need it to be
I am under their roof, that keeps the flame inside of me fireproof
If I didn’t have them
I’d be like a fish out of water, drowning in my own breath
They are like a spice in me, that extra bit of flavour you always crave
That flame shall never bring shame, to lose my spot in that picture frame
My Mum and Dad are my world and my all
They are the light in my eyes, their love crawls,
Through my veins, never causing pain
