My Kitten

I can see the little tiger play with a ball of wool,
It can be as restless as a little puppy
chewing its toy,
Rolling around on the floor,
Tangled up,
A ball of fur
Rolling around the house,
Pouncing and playing,
Finally stopping,
Exhausted,
It starts heading up to its food bowl,
It can be as hungry as a lion
Who hasn't had a satisfying meal for months,
Jumping higher than a scared rabbit
being chased by a sly fox,
It leaps up and starts eating its food,
My kitten is calm again
and starts to rest on the ground,
Not bothering to go to its mat,
Now fast asleep.
