My Ladybird Hope Pebble

Resting at ease in the safety of my shelf
My hope stone glimmers dully in the morning sun
Inspiring me with courage, bravery, faith
Given by my family, for help in times to come
Topped with an intricate, flowered crimson ladybug
Splashed with colour reminding me of Spring,
Mottled browny-grey, rough with earthy fragrance
Warm memories of kindness, my hope pebble brings
Engraved with one word, simple yet pure
"HOPE" flows to my heart as I look at my stone
Amazing and refined, a holy, shining angel
Still fiercely loved, despite how faded it's grown
Sweet and clever, like both of my parents,
My pebble's irreplaceable, all good qualities combined
Unimaginably special, however no one but myself
Really realises how glad I am that that my pebble's mine.
So here I stand, enthralled at the sight
Of my beautiful treasure, bathing in the light;
My ladybird hope pebble.
