My Lion

He gives me protection when I go to bed
I feel safe with him
He is the big cat with a heart of gold
He protects me as my guardian when I am scared in my bed
He calms me down when I am angry
His tan brown skin is so lovely
When my mum went to Launceston she got me my lion
When I saw it I felt like I had a new friend in my life
Or a new little brother in my life
When I felt its mane it felt like a big hairy gold pillow
I hope to hand him down to my children
So they can remember me and it makes them happy
