My lost toy

My Lost Toy

It was a very old toy
It wasn’t just for a boy.
Lots of good memories
Has been one for centuries
I lost it a while ago…
When I was young
It was a big part of my early life
It got burnt in my house fire.
I remember being sad.
Though I am much older now
And a bit more mature
I have moved on to different things.
It hurts a bit, sometimes stings.
I say to Elmo rest .
I will still love you forever.
And give up on you never.
